Her other organisation, the Church of England, supported the genocides and anti-democracy movements in Egypt, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Afghanistan, Yemen, Bosnia, Palestine, Sudan, China, Russia, Chechnya, Bulgaria (and entire Balkans) through Aung San in Myanmar and countless other places across the planet. Tis merely business as usual; as has been the case for a thousand years; as cometh to an end as all empires built on evildoing and bloodshed, must.
Since the end of WW2, Britain and its offspring and eternal ally, the US, have invaded more than 100 nations. Under the auspices of Operation Gladio (from 1945 until purportedly the late 90s but who really knows) the UK and US, through organised campaigns, bombed and terrorised their allies IN EUROPE including Germany, France, Spain, Italy and numerous others. To install the far right. There were judge-led public inquiries in those nations. And since 2014, the UK has lead the supporting, funding, weaponising and cheerleading of Svoboda and other neo Nazi groups in Ukraine. British citizens literally paid to bus en masse slavic neo Nazis to political rallies in Kyiv. All unknown by citizen in the UK and US. Nation states whose citizens have no fucking clue who they really are and what they are upto around the world.
Thank goodness the British public behave like a screaming baby and all we needs do is to jangle the car keys.
Pageantry, pomp and ostentation whilst citizens are being crushed under the yoke of fascism authoritarianism and the most brutal of economic conditions; an ethereal mist of disinformation permeates every part of public life, formalised education, art and popular culture. And yet somehow we know - we can feel inside that things, somehow, are not right. That things are far from correct.
The greatest fiscal theft in history happened over the last decade. In Britain. Otherwise known as Tory austerity, sweeping trillions of pounds up away from the poorest, needy and most vulnerable in society to the wealthiest.
British society today is a land awash with injustice, unnecessary poverty, record inequality <MEDIAN UK INCOME IS £100K PER ANNUM. WAKE UP, FOLKS> child poverty, hunger. Social deprivation, blood and tears the fuel that powers their machine; subservience through mind-numbing brainwashing propaganda the oil keeping the cogs from squealing.
A time to mourn, for some. A time to plot and plan for others. And once the dead are laid to rest, we can only hope a time to look in the mirror, for a people.
It is said that time is a man made construct. Just like all these vestiges of evil doing. We are capable of better legacies. We are capable of more.
Greatness flows from righteousness. Insofar as this maxim exists, we have never been a great Britain. Yet we can be. According to the scriptures, we shall be. 'Tis the heart that sees, not the eyes. 'Tis the heart that holds the sword, not the hand.
